Welcome Medical Alumni!

Dear Fellow Alumni:

Welcome to the new EVMS Alumni Website. I hope you will view this site as a vehicle that will enable us to stay abreast of EVMS Alumni Association activities and events, as well as a means of maintaining contact and reconnecting with friends and former classmates. Mike Bono headshot2.jpg

I think this link will be an excellent way to communicate Alumni Association information to all of us, like information about the upcoming Alumni Reunion Weekend August 15th-17th. We have some exciting Alumni plans, such as development of local EVMS Alumni Chapters, volunteer opportunities, and many other interesting ideas. The most important thing is that this link will allow us to stay in touch with our alma mater and each other.

The past few months have been exciting. We have hired a new Director of Alumni Relations, established an actual alumni office, developed this website, and planned the EVMS Alumni reunion this August.

The Alumni Association has developed an excellent working relationship with our Dean, Dr. Gerald Pepe. Dr. Pepe taught our class, Class of 1983, and he remains a tremendous listener and an excellent judge of people. We also have the strong support of Mr. Harry Lester, the president of EVMS. Both of these gentlemen realize the profound importance of a strong alumni association and they have given us their full support. Those attending the reunion this August will have the opportunity to meet with both Dr. Pepe and Mr. Lester on our visits to the EVMS campus.

As president of our medical alumni association, I welcome and encourage suggestions and comments. The other officers, board members, and I are honored to have the opportunity to serve you and take that responsibility seriously. Enjoy this new EVMS Alumni website and visit often.
